AshaAung has an exhibition with Zamarama Gallery for the months of April and May 2023 opening April 20th for the Everett Art Walk from 5pm-9pm.
Northwest African American Museum Grand Re-Opening
Exhibit running from January 16th to mid April, 2023
MLK Day (Jan 16th) is the grand re-opening of Northwest African American Museum (NAAM)! AshaAung will featured along side other Gallery Onyx artists in this show running until mid April, 2023. The grand opening will be from 11am to 5pm, with an 18+ after party from 5pm to 8pm. You can donate to NAAM and find more information here.
2021-2022 residency cycle, in residence in 2023
AshaAung is one of six recipients of the inaugural 2021-2022 artist residency program by Wa Na Wari. Despite being a part of the 2021-2022 residency cycle, she will be taking residence in 2023. Find out more about this project and its other recipients here.

Check out Pacific Northwest Ballet's "PNB is Listening" series hosted by SeaPertl Productions with artists AshaAung Helmstetter, Carol Rashawnna, Chloe Collyer, Rosa Marchita, and ST Rivera. With a panel and a series of interviews with each artist, the group talks about the intersectional identities of being artists as well as members of the BIPOC and other marginalized communities. Listen as these artists tell you a little about their own experiences and learn how you can support contemporary marginalized art.
